STORYLINE:
Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera said in north Malawi on Saturday that the rates of new cholera infections and deaths are decreasing but the fight against the epidemic is being undermined by myths and religious beliefs.
Chakwera called for concerted efforts in the fight against what has become the southern Africa country's deadliest cholera outbreak that has thus far killed 1,547 people.
