Nader Saad, a spokesperson of the Egyptian cabinet, said Wednesday's decision aims to support Egyptian farmers, encourage the expansion of strategic crop cultivation, and reduce the import bill. This decision comes in implementation of the directives from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi to revise the supply price of wheat for farmers in the current harvest season.
