A male common iora (Aegithina tiphia) bird sits on the branch of a Lime tree in search of insect prey. The common iora is sexually dimorphic, with males in the breeding season having a black cap and back, in addition to a black wing and tail at all seasons. Females have greenish wings and olive tails. This colorful passerine bird can be seen in wooded areas, scrub, and cultivated lands of the tropical Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
