The red-whiskered bulbul (Pycnonotus jocosus), or crested bulbul, is a passerine bird native to Asia. This medium-sized songbird is a member of the Bulbul family. It is a resident frugivore found mainly in tropical Asia. It has a loud three or four-note call, and feeds berries, small fruits, and insects. With its small bill, usually does not feed on large fruits until they are overripe or punctured by other birds.
