'Stop Violence At The Border' Protest In Krakow

KRAKOW, POLAND - MAY 31: The inscription 'MAKE LOVE NO WALL' on the pavement during the 'Stop Violence at the Border' protest on May 31, 2023 in Krakow, Poland. In front of the regional headquarters of the Law and Justice (PiS) party, a 'Stop Violence at the Border' protest was organized in the form of writing slogans on the pavement with chalk. Participants drew attention to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border. For several days, a group of about 26 people from Syria, Iraq and Congo have been staying at the wall in the Bialowieza Forest, most of them women and children. Despite clearly ill health and requests for international protection, the Border Guard did not let the group through and did not provide assistance. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
