Japanese cartoonist Yaanse debuts as singer at age 84
Japanese cartoonist Takashi Yanase, 84, sings at a press conference in Tokyo held on Dec. 5, 2003, to announce his debut as a singer. Yanase (1919-2013), also a writer, poet and lyricist, is best known as the creator of Anpanman, the main character of the popular Japanese children's anime series of the same name.
