Celebration Of Los Diablucos Of Helechosa De Los Montes - Spain

Several people in costume during the festival of Los Diablucos, June 11, 2023, in Helechosa de los Montes, Badajoz, Extremadura (Spain). The Diablucos de Helechosa de los Montes are characters dressed in red overalls and devil masks. They dance at the pace of the Corpus Christi procession and stop at altars made by the neighbors. It is a tradition of Helechosa de los Montes that has been celebrated for more than 500 years, which reflects a representation of the struggle between good and evil with medieval origins.
