Galician Nurses Protest During Exams - Spain

Thousands of candidates have dressed in black as a protest while taking the Sergas nursing exams at the fairgrounds, on June 25, 2023, in Silleda, Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. The union 'Enfermeiras Eventuais en Loita' has dressed in black "as a sign of mourning and struggle" for their rights during the performance of the exams called by the Sergas in Silleda, with the aim of making visible their demand for more stable positions. More than 10,000 candidates participated in the protest. The competitive examination offers 1,556 vacancies, of which 1,135 are open access.
