Iran-Aras Unesco Global Geopark

    Iran-Life And Fun Under The Shadow Of Nuclear Power Plant

After a prolonged delay, Iran reached an agreement with Russia in 2004 to complete the project. The Bushehr nuclear power plant, after 27 years from the start of its construction, was fully operational and connected to the national electricity grid in 2011, marking it as Iran's first and only active nuclear power plant.
