Guelaguetza Festival In Mexico City
Members of the Cananea folkloric ballet of the Iztapalapa municipality in Mexico City are wearing typical tiliche costumes as they dance on the eve of the Guelaguetza Festival of the State of Oaxaca, which represents the highest festival of the state. The Guelaguetza has its origins in pre-Hispanic times, and it is worth mentioning that this festivity began with a ritual that was done to the ancient gods in a place called Daninayaaloani or hill of beautiful view.
