West Bengal Experiencing A Sudden Surge In Cases Of Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis can be extremely contagious and is spread by contact with eye secretions from someone who is infected. There is usually a seasonal increase in conjunctivitis cases, which coincides with the flu season. Conjunctivitis cases are reported each year during monsoon season. Symptoms of the infection include swelling and inflammation of the conjunctiva, the tissue layer covering the inner surface of the eyelid and the eyeball's membrane.
