Six people were killed on Thursday when a helicopter crashed in Russia's Altai Republic, TASS reported, citing a source in medical services.
A Russian Mi-8 helicopter of Altai Avia company crashed after it hit a power line and caught fire, while landing in the village of Tyungur in the Ust-Koksinsky district in the Altai Republic, the source said.
The helicopter was carrying 13 passengers and three crew members, said the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency. Six of them have died, and at least seven have been injured, according to preliminary information. Among those who were injured, three are now in critical condition.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the crash, and firefighters are currently working at the site.
