Peru's Consumer Price Index (CPI) registered an increase of 0.34 percent in July, accumulating an increase of 3.17 percent in the first seven months of the year, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) reported on Tuesday.
The CPI of Metropolitan Lima had an increase of 0.39 percent in the seventh month of the year to accumulate a variation of 2.92 between January and July of 2023, the entity indicated in the report "Variation of the Price Indicators of the Economy."
The annual rate (last 12 months) of the indicator showed a variation of 6.02 percent in the case of the national indicator and 5.88 percent for Metropolitan Lima.
The annual rate was thus slightly higher than the forecast of "below 6 percent" made by the Minister of Econ
