The bamboo bug or bamboo coreids (Notobitus meleagris) is a species of true bugs in the family leaf-footed bugs are a serious pest of bamboo shoots in China, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Singapore. The antennae of the nymphal instars and adults of bamboo bugs are involved in communication among individuals and finding the host plants. The bamboo bug shows two types of mating aggregation: harem including a male and one or more females, and multi-male including some males and females.
