Three critically endangered bird species, the red-breasted partridge, the black-necked crane, and the black stork, have been frequently sighted in different locations along the Hexi Corridor, a historical and ecological region in western China.
At Qilian Mountain National Park, staff members uncovered precious infrared camera footage capturing the red-breasted partridge's appearance. The bird belongs to the Phasianidae family and Gallus genus. Typically found alone or in pairs, it forages in open areas near the forest line.
