Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin asked for the reinforcement of the protection of places of worship on August 15 for the feast of the Assumption. The Minister explains that "the persistence of a high level of the terrorist threat requires the maintenance of strong vigilance vis-à-vis places of a religious nature".
