Artificial intelligence (AI) has brought its latest application in meteorology in China, as the country is using the technology to make weather forecasts more accurate to cope with weather disasters.
The Pangu Weather AI model developed by Chinese tech giant Huawei has three-dimensional neural networks for accurate and medium-range global weather forecasts.
Its prediction speed is 10,000 times faster than the traditional numerical methods.
