The Erosion By Zumuna River Has Intensified Over - Bangladesh

Several hundred families of Sarya kandi villages of Bogura are in danger of losing their homes and valuable as river erosion has taken a serious turn.Locals said erosion by zumuna River has intensified in the last 15 days.Half of the cultivated land and residential houses of two villages have been lost in the zumuna. The victims were relieved as geo bags filled with sands were placed along the embankments under the initiative of the Water Development Board.Bogura, Bangladesh, September 09, 2022.
