These locations will be permanently closed on Oct. 21, according to CNBC. "We cannot continue operating these stores because theft and organized retail crime are threatening the safety of our team and guests, and contributing to unsustainable business performance," Target said in a press release. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the general merchandise retailer has stores in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, boasting nearly 2,000 stores in the nation
