King Juan Carlos and Infanta Elena arrive at the eighth King Juan Carlos I Regatta, in the Pontevedra estuary, on October 1, 2023, in Pontevedra, Galicia (Spain). The Pontevedra estuary is the setting for the eighth edition of the King Juan Carlos I Regatta. After the success of the European and World Championships in 2021 and 2022, respectively, held at the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, the classic and open six-meter fleets return this year to these waters. The eighth regatta brings together, this weekend, more than 160 boats. The last time Juan Carlos I was in Galicia was at the end of July this year, the third time he returned to Spain since his departure to Abu Dhabi.
