US Moves Warships Closer To Israel After Hamas Attack

Handout photo dated July 28, 2017 of an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23, piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Jamie Struck, performs an arrested landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) in the Atlantic Ocean. The US says it is moving an aircraft carrier, ships and jets to the eastern Mediterranean and will also give Israel additional equipment and ammunition. It follows the Hamas attack on southern Israel, which President Biden called an "unprecedented and appalling assault".
