A Kyushu Railway Co. special train led by steam locomotive Hitoyoshi departs JR Yatsushiro Station in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture, southwestern Japan, on Nov. 18, 2023, marking the 101st anniversary of the start of its service. The locomotive, built in 1922, will retire in March 2024.
