The Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy holds open day events in multiple coastal cities including Qingdao around April 23 to mark the 75th anniversary of its founding. From April 20 to 24, the public in Qingdao will be able to tour the missile destroyers Guiyang, Shijiazhuang and Kaifeng, missile frigate Handan, supply ship Kekexilihu, and submarine rescue vessel Hongzehu at the pier 3 and the Qingdao International Sailing Center pier. The stunning fireworks display lit up the sky and the harbor, attracting locals and tourists alike. The fireworks were released from boats perched in the harbor. There was a magnificent range of colors and designs, in sync with the upbeat music playing on shore. Fireworks will illuminate the Maltese skies in other locations including Marsaxlokk, Nadur and Mellieha, with the grand finale taking place at the Grand Harbour on the last day of the month. The festival is organized by the Malta Tourism Authority as a way to offer more tourist attractions while helping to preserve an old Maltese tradition.
