Royals At Residence Hospital del Rey inauguration - Toledo
(l-2d) King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, and the mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez, during the inauguration of the "Hospital del Rey" Community Residence, on November 30, 2023, in Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). This residence, which has 60 places, joins the network of care facilities for people with severe mental disorders of the Fundación Sociosanitaria de Castilla-La Mancha. The center, which started with ten patients, will progressively incorporate residents in the following months, until it has a total of 60 places. The "Hospital del Rey" was founded in Toledo in 1603 by the Corpus Christi Brotherhood as a place of healing for the poor and people without resources, a task it carried out until 1836, when it became part of the Provincial Charity and was converted into an old people's home until 2005, when it closed.
