Women are busy to processing dried fishes in Lama Kazi area of Sylhet, Bangladesh. Seasonal dry fish traders are busy drying fish on stages in Lama Kazi area of Sylhet. Every year, when the winter season comes, the small species of fish caught in the local river canal, Beel-haor, are bought at wholesale rates, dried and sold to wholesalers in different parts of the country, with an estimated value of hundreds cores of Taka. Here 70 businessmen build lofts in certain places and give dry goods, 1500 to 2000 people are involved in this work of dry goods that work here and earn up to 800 - 1000 taka at the end of the day. The traders said that they have demand for these dry goods in the neighbouring country of India, and Kishoreganj, Bhairab and Brahmanbaria in Bangladesh. Also the traders of Dhaka and Chittagong buy dry goods from here at wholesale rates. Each Mana Shutki is sold from 18 thousand taka to 30 thousand taka.
