Stabbing Attack At Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Leaves Medical Resident And Two Nurses Injured

A medical resident and two nurses are suffering from lacerations following an altercation inside the pediatric ICU at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, located at 201 Lyons Avenue in Newark, New Jersey, United States, on December 8, 2023. A female suspect is attacking the three hospital workers, who are each reportedly in stable condition. The suspect, Firdousi A. Abdul-Hakim, 37, is being taken into custody. She is facing charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. The incident is remaining under investigation.
