"Egypt's National Election Authority (NEA) declared on Monday incumbent President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi winner of the nation's 2024 presidential election, securing a third term with 89.6 percent of valid votes."
At a press conference in Cairo, Chairman of the NEA Hazem Badawy said that nearly 44.8 million citizens at home and abroad voted in the election, out of some 67 million eligible voters, representing a turnout of 66.8 percent, which is "the highest turnout in Egypt's history."
Hazem Omar, who leads the Republican People's Party, won 4.5 percent of the vote, followed by
