Members of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) are playing mariachi music at El Caracol Rebeldia y Resistencia in the mountains of southeast Mexico, in the area known as Dolores Hidalgo, Chiapas, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Zapatista uprising. The Zapatista uprising was a 12-day rebellion that began on January 1, 1994, in the state of Chiapas, and it gained international attention for its demands for justice and the rights of Mexico's indigenous peoples.
