Captured from an aerial perspective on September 17, 2021, the Chah-Nimeh reservoirs, in Zehak, Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran, unfold as a striking landscape, positioned 50 kilometers from Zabol and 90 kilometers from the Kamal Khan Dam in Afghanistan. Comprising three sizable natural cavities, these reservoirs are strategically situated in the southern expanse of the Sistan Plain. An intricate water management system orchestrates the flow of surplus water from the Hirmand River, channeling it through a meticulously designed canal and ensuring the replenishment of these reservoirs.
