Brown Fish Owl In Sri Lanka
A Brown Fish Owl (Ketupa zeylonensis) is being seen at the lake in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, on January 13, 2024. The Brown Fish Owl is a species of fish owl in the family known as typical owls, Strigidae, and is native to Turkey and Southeast Asia. Due to its wide distribution, it is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. It inhabits forests and wooded wetlands.
