INDONESIA-JAKARTA-BANDUNG HSR-OPERATION-THREE MONTHS

The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR), the first HSR in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, has handled over 1.4 million passenger trips up to Jan. 14 this year, according to the PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia (KCIC). The Chinese-built HSR, locally called Whoosh, began its commercial operation in October 2023. With a design speed of 350 km per hour, it connects Jakarta's Halim station to Tegalluar station in Indonesia's fourth largest city Bandung, West Java province. With constantly improved service, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is making the travel more convenient and comfortable. (Xinhua/Xu Qin)
