Tehran 2024, 45-Year After The Victory Of Iran's Islamic Revolution
Members of the Iranian police special forces are walking alongside a street near a holy shrine in northern Tehran, Iran, on February 1, 2024, during the first day of ten-day celebrations marking the 45th anniversary of the Victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution. In February 1979, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the king of Iran, left the country, and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned from France, initiating the ''Ten Days of Dawn'' that led to the victory of the Islamic Revolution. The removal of Pahlavi, the last king of Iran, officially ended the country's historic monarchy. (Photo by Morteza Nikoubazl/NurPhoto)
