Induction Into The Pantheon In Paris Of Missak And Melinee Manouchian
The coffin is lying outside The Pantheon during a state ceremony for the induction into the mausoleum of Missak Manouchian and his wife Melinee, in Paris, France, on February 21, 2024. The remains of stateless Armenian poet and fighter Missak Manouchian and his wife Melinee are being moved to the country's Pantheon mausoleum of national heroes during the ceremony. This marks the first time that a foreign communist member of the French Resistance is being honored in such a way, despite many of them participating in the underground battle against the Germans.
