Muslims Protest Demanding Impeachment For Presiden Joko Widodo
Hundreds of Muslims are holding banners and shouting slogans as they participate in a protest demanding the impeachment of Indonesia's President Joko Widodo in front of the Parliament building in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 1, 2024. They are taking this action following allegations of Joko Widodo's interference in the 2024 presidential election process to benefit presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto, who is also the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, and vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is President Jokowi's eldest son. They are also demanding the dismissal of the chairman and commissioners of the General Election Commission who are believed to be involved in the fraud. Consequently, they are urging the DPR to exercise its right to inquiry. (Photo by Aditya Irawan/NurPhoto)
