A Castle Welcomes 195 Refugees From Mayotte - Thiverval-Grignon
195 refugees from Mayotte were welcomed, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, at the Chateau de Grignon, in Thiverval-Grignon in Yvelines. All have political refugee status, having fled conflicts in the north of the Democratic Republic of Congo and others from East African countries. These refugees are in a regular situation and benefit from the right to asylum. By the end of 2022, the state-owned 17th century castle had already been transformed into a reception center. 200 homeless refugees had stayed there for several months.
