Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Monday that he had reviewed the movement of goods and freight in the country's ports and ordered the swift and immediate release of essential items amid a rise in U.S. dollar resources.
Madbouly said in a statement that the presidential directives aimed to ease the flow of goods at various ports, especially food, medicine, fodder and production inputs, which would help balance and lower prices.
He also said that the government was pursuing its reform measures to support the industrial sector and boost exports, as well as the agriculture, tourism and communications sectors, adding that these are part of the state's plan for structural reform.
