Palm Sunday - Yerevan

Armenians gather at Arabkir Saint Cross Church in Yerevan, Armenia on March 24, 2024, to light candles and buy wreaths and willow branches to celebrate the Feast of Palm Sunday a week before the Easter holiday. On the morning of Palm Sunday, olive or willow branches are blessed and distributed to the people in churches. Palm Sunday has been declared a day of children's blessing and according to tradition when Christ entered Jerusalem, children greeted the entrance of the Lord with olive branches.
