Pro- Monarchists Clash With Police In Nepal

Pro-monarchy protesters in Kathmandu, Nepal, are tearing down plastic barricades set up by the police as they try to breach into a restricted area during a protest march in the capital on April 9, 2024. Thousands of pro-monarchists and members of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are taking to the streets of Kathmandu, further clashing with security personnel in their attempt to enter the restricted zone. The RPP, a right-wing pro-monarchy party, is leading the protests and calling for the restoration of the monarchy and a Hindu kingdom. (Photo by Subaas Shrestha/NurPhoto)
