Pro- Monarchists Clash With Police In Nepal

Pro-monarchy protesters in Kathmandu, Nepal, are throwing stones at the Nepal Police after being prevented from marching further into the restricted area near Singha Durbar, the administrative capital, on April 9, 2024. Thousands of pro-monarchists and members of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are taking to the streets and clashing with security personnel as they try to breach the restricted zone. The RPP, a right-wing pro-monarch party, is leading the protests and calling for the restoration of the monarchy and a Hindu kingdom. (Photo by Subaas Shrestha/NurPhoto)
