At least 17 people were killed and around 35 others injured in a truck crash in Hub district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, the local rescue service confirmed on Thursday morning.
The accident took place late Wednesday night when a truck carrying religious pilgrims fell into a ditch in Ghulam Hussain Chatta area in the district, Abdul Hakeem, a local representative of Edhi rescue organization told Xinhua.
The incident happened due to over-speeding as the driver lost control of the vehicle, he added.
Upon receiving the information, rescue workers reached the site and shifted the victims to a local hospital, the rescue service reported, adding that they were later taken to the southern port city of Karachi for furthe
