A69 Highway : 'Majo' Of The Crem'arbres ZAD Receives The Label 'Outstanding Tree Of The Year'
Georges Feterman, president of the NGO A.R.B.R.E.S., is holding the label 'Outstanding tree'. It states that on April 26, 2024, A.R.B.R.E.S. is awarding the label 'France's Outstanding tree' to the London plane nicknamed 'Majo' at La Cremade in Saix, Tarn. Feterman is visiting the Crem'Arbres to present the prestigious 'Outstanding tree of the year' label to 'Majo', a London plane. This tree, along with others, would have been illegally cut down by NGE/Atosca if the 'Ecureuils' (squirrels) had not occupied the trees for 39 days. Following a 39-day police siege of the Crem'Arbres, the French Justice system ruled that the Crem'Arbre must be protected and the trees should remain uncut until September 1st. Supporters, sympathizers, and LVEL members are attending the event to witness the awarding of the 'Outstanding tree of the year' label.
