1,475 Silhouettes In Tribute To The Soldiers Of D-Day - Ver-Sur-Mer

A view of the Longues-sur-Mer battery, a World War II German coastal artillery battery approximately 1 km (0.62 mi) north of the village of Longues-sur-Mer in Normandy, France, April 27, 2024. Normandy will forever be marked by the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy that led to the liberation of France and Europe. 2024 will mark the 80th Anniversary of this historic event. On 6th June 1944, and during the long summer which followed, soldiers from the world over came to fight in Normandy to defeat Nazism and to re-establish freedom. Photo by Pascal Baril/ABACAPRESS.COM
