Sri Lankan Mosque Holds Condolence For Iranian Crash Victims

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and several other high-ranking officials is crashing in a mountainous area near the Iran-Azerbaijan border, killing all nine people on board. The helicopter, identified as a Bell 212 model, is carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the governor of East Azerbaijan province, Malek Rahmati, and Tabriz's Friday prayer leader, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Al-e Hashem, along with five crew members.
