In the first five months of this year, Hong Kong registered about 18 million tourist arrivals, an increase of about 80 percent year-on-year, the tourism board said in a press release. The initial data showed that in May, Hong Kong recorded about 2.63 million visitor arrivals from the Chinese mainland, up 15 percent from last year.
