Chinese companies have been working closely with their counterparts in Guinea-Bissau over the recent years, in an effort to develop fishery infrastructure in this country on the west coast of Africa that is renowned for its rich fishery resources. In May 2023, the Bandim Fishing Port constructed with Chinese assistance was handed over to the local operator. An aquatic products processing and storage complex nearby, also completed in 2023, has been put into operation. Covering approximately 4,000 square meters, it is currently the largest modern aquatic products processing facility in Guinea-Bissau. Photo by Xinhua/ABACAPRESS.COM/Han Xu)
