US: Helene Causes Life-Threatening Flooding In North Carolina 3
Helene made landfall in Florida on Thursday, September 26, as a Category 4 hurricane, wreaking havoc across the Southeast, leaving at least 95 people dead and millions without power.
Flood warnings were issued, and several highways were closed in North Carolina. The Department of Transportation said that all roads in the western part of the state should be considered closed because it is too dangerous to travel.
