Spain: Flooding Hits Barcelona Airport As Torrential Rains Disrupt Flights
Flash flooding hit parts of the Barcelona area on Monday morning, November 4, as heavy rain swept through the region.. Spain's State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) issued a red alert for parts of northeastern Catalonia, warning of torrential rain.
The inclement weather led to severe flooding across Catalonia, with Barcelona’s airport partially submerged and about 50 flights cancelled.
