Sanchez Announces Relief Measures After Floods - Madrid

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, arrives at a press conference following the meeting of the Council of Ministers, at La Moncloa Palace, November 11, 2024, in Madrid, Spain. The Council of Ministers has approved a set of labor measures for workers affected by the DANA. This package of measures is the second one adopted by the Government. This labor shield', which will have retroactive effects from October 29, will be integrated by several measures, such as the Temporary Employment Regulation Expedients (ERTE) due to force majeure or due to economic, technical, organizational or production causes (ETOP), to which companies located in the areas hit by the DANA will be able to apply, but also those which justify that their activity has been affected by the storm.
