Cricket Teenager- Kabul

Arshad Khan, a 16-year-old teenager, stood out among 250 young players, achieving the top position as a batsman in a recent domestic cricket match in Afghanistan. Arshad came from Kunar Province, currently lives in a poor neighborhood in Kabul, the capital city. As a son of a former Afghan cricketer, Arshad has been learning cricket for 14 months at Rashid Khan Cricket Academy in Kabul. Arshad's family relys on selling fruit and vegetable at a small stall as their livelihood. And his father dreams of seeing Arshad plays for the national team someday. "I practice cricket almost all day. I love this sport and want to make my family proud. After practice, I go to language school in the evening to learn English," said Arshad Khan.
