Morocco Protects The Vicinity Of The Fence With Ceuta
Two migrants work next to the border fence, January 1, 2025, in Ceuta (Spain). On the occasion of New Year's Eve, the Moroccan government has reinforced its presence in the vicinity of the border perimeter of Ceuta with about 1000 agents to prevent any approach of migrants during the celebration of the new year. The timid attempts to approach the fences have all been intercepted by the agents who were patrolling the area and even the Moroccan police have used the intercepted migrants for work in the area. Morocco has also reinforced by sea the separation breakwaters at the border of El Tarajal with patrol boats of the Royal Navy that have prevented the crossings by sea from the neighboring town of Castillejos.
